musicians, he inherited music from his father Dr.Jogendra Nath Chatterjee,
a distinguished medical practitioner and vocalist. In childhood Sankha
had been very eager to play with musical instruments like Tabla and Harmonium
- more than with normal toys, and could imitate singing and playing Tabla
exact- ly when he was only 3 years old.
Very
soon he became famous as a wonder child of the country. From the
age of five
